Alnwick Council has settled (on favourable terms) a bizarre compensation claim made by Safeway, who have the Alnwick supermarket monopoly, which led to a campaign (and it wasn't just this site) to boycott them. Even though the matter has settled, we still think you'll save lots of money by going to the ASDA in Ashington.
